The scheme aims to prevent gender-biased sex selection, ensure the survival and protection of girls and encourage their education and participation in society. It also focuses on changing societal attitudes towards girls through awareness campaigns and community participation. The programme is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Education to ensure that girls get equal opportunities and grow up in a safe and supportive environment.

Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a pension scheme launched by the Government of India to help unorganised sector workers ensure a regular monthly income after retirement. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is regulated by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). Under this scheme, subscribers contribute a small amount every month till the age of 60 and after retirement they receive a guaranteed monthly pension of between Rs. 1,000 and 5,000 depending on their contributions.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana 2026; Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is a major healthcare scheme launched by the Government of India to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to poor and vulnerable families. It was launched in 2018 under the leadership of Narendra Modi. The scheme aims to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by providing free medical treatment and improving healthcare across the country. It has two main components: Health and Wellness Centres (HWC) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Under this scheme, eligible families can get cashless health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per year for treatment in secondary and tertiary level hospitals in listed hospitals across India.

Atal Bhujal Yojana (Atal Bhujal Yojana - Atal Jal) is a project of the Bharatiya Janata Party, launched on 25 December 2019, on the 95th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It is an initiative to ensure sustainable groundwater control (groundwater management) in rural areas through people's participation. The main objective of this Rs 6,000 crore project is to increase groundwater and reduce its use in water-stressed states of the country.

BDO Income Certificate in West Bengal is an official government document issued through the Block Development Office (BDO) for people living in rural areas of the state, and is used as a legal proof of annual income of an individual or family for various purposes such as scholarships, government jobs, fee waiver, reserved or economically weak and applying for admission under central government or various state government schemes. In West Bengal, this certificate is now mainly issued through the e-Zilla portal, which is the official online service platform of the state government. Any eligible resident of West Bengal can apply online by registering on the e-District website, filling personal details, address, family and income information and uploading necessary documents like Aadhaar card, proof of address and proof of income or self-declaration.

The Chief Minister's Education Relief Fund, West Bengal; (Nabanna Scholarship) is a scheme of the Government of West Bengal that provides financial assistance to economically weaker students of the state so that they can pursue their studies at the secondary, higher secondary, undergraduate, or postgraduate levels. Its main objective is to ensure higher education for students based on merit and financial need, where financial assistance of up to approximately Rs. 10,000 is provided annually, and the application process can be done online or offline through the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) website.

SVMCM Scholarship 2026 (Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship) is a scheme of the Government of West Bengal that provides financial assistance to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for their higher education. It provides financial support to students studying in classes 11 and 12, undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and professional courses such as engineering, medical, and other technical disciplines.
