The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) is a government initiative launched in 2021 by the 'Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade' under the 'Startup India' program, with the objective of providing support to early stage startups. Through this scheme, financial assistance is extended to startups channeled through selected incubators to facilitate various activities such as proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, and market entry. Constituted with a total corpus of approximately Rs.945 crore, the SISFS aims to assist innovative startups in overcoming early-stage funding challenges, building scalable business models, and evolving into successful enterprises; thereby fostering an entrepreneurial culture and generating employment opportunities in India.

SISFS Scheme 2026 Financial Assistance

Startups can get funding in two stages:

Grant Support

Up to Rs.20 lakh

Provided through debt or convertible debentures

Startup India Seed Fund Scheme 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Startups -

Must be recognized by the DPIIT.
Must be less than 2 years old.
Must possess an innovative business idea.
Must incorporate technology in its products or services.
Cannot have received grants exceeding Rs.10 lakh from other government schemes.
At least 51% of the ownership must be held by Indian nationals.

For Incubators -

Must be a legal entity
At least 2 years operational
Capacity for 25+ individuals
Minimum 5 startups under incubation

WCD Puducherry 618 Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Recruitment 2025

The Department of Women & Child Development, Puducherry has released a notification for the recruitment of 618 posts of Anganwadi Workers (344 posts) and Anganwadi  Helpers  (274 posts) under the Samshak Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 project. These positions are open only to female candidates who are Natives/Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry and belong to the local community of the respective Anganwadi centre. The recruitment is on an honorarium basis, and selection will be done purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in Class XII.
