NMMS Scholarship 2026; NMMS (National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme) is a central scholarship scheme of the Government of India that helps meritorious students from economically weaker families continue their education from class 9 to 12 without dropping out after class 8 . It provides economically disadvantaged students with Rs.12,000 annually, paid at Rs.1,000 per month, with the aim of reducing the dropout rate after class 8. The annual income of the candidates parents must be Rs.3.50 lakhs or less. To apply for the NMMS Scholarship 2026, eligible class 8 students from government/aided schools must register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (scholarships.gov.in).
