Eligibility Criteria for SVMCM Scholarship 2026:

To apply for the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means (SVMCM) scholarship, a student must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • For higher secondary and undergraduate courses, students must obtain a minimum of 60% marks in their last qualifying examination.
  • For students applying to postgraduate general courses, a minimum of 53% marks is required.
  • Students applying for technical or engineering postgraduate programs must obtain a minimum of 55% marks.
  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
  • The annual family income from all sources must not exceed Rs.2,50,000.
  • The student must be regularly studying in a general, technical, or professional course at a recognized institution in West Bengal.
  • Kanyashree K2 recipients are eligible to apply for Postgraduate scholarships under the special K3 component of the SVMCM scheme.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2026 Amount

Under the SVMCM Scholarship, eligible students receive a monthly scholarship based on the course they are pursuing. The details are as follows:

  • Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed): Rs.1,000/- per month
  • Polytechnic Diploma: Rs.1,500/- per month
  • Medical Diploma: Rs.1,500/- per month
  • General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM): Rs.1,500/- per month
  • Undergraduate - Arts & Commerce: Rs.1,000/- per month
  • Undergraduate - Science: Rs.1,500/- per month

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed): Rs.1,500/- per month

For the SVMCM Scholarship 2026, the applicant's family's annual income from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000. Family income includes income earned by parents or guardians from salary, business, agriculture, pension, or any other source.

SVMCM Scholarship 2026 Application Process

Fresh Application:-

  • Visit the official scholarship portal and complete online registration to generate an Applicant ID.
  • Log in using the Applicant ID and Password and fill in the application form.
  • Upload photo, signature, and required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Verify all details and submit the application online.
  • Save or print the application acknowledgement for future reference.

Renewal Application:-

  • Visit the official portal and log in using your previous Applicant ID and Password.
  • Select the Renewal Application option.
  • Update academic details and upload the required renewal documents.
  • Check the information carefully and submit the renewal application.
  • Keep a copy of the submitted application for future use.

SVMCM Scholarship 2026 Required Documents

Documents to be uploaded for Fresh Application:

  1. Madhyamik or equivalent mark sheet (both sides)
  2. Mark sheet of last passed examination (both sides)
  3. Admission receipt
  4. Family income certificate (not required for Kanyashree)
  5. Domicile proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Ration Card / Certificate from authority)
  6. Scanned copy of Bank Passbook (1st Page, containing A/C No. and IFSC)
  7. Declaration from Head of Institution for year gap (if applicable)

Documents eligible for upload for renewal applications:

  • Copy of the mark sheet of the last examination of the current curriculum. (In case of both annual and semester examination systems, mark sheets of both semesters).
  •  Admission receipt for the next higher class.

WCD Puducherry 618 Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Recruitment 2025

The Department of Women & Child Development, Puducherry has released a notification for the recruitment of 618 posts of Anganwadi Workers (344 posts) and Anganwadi  Helpers  (274 posts) under the Samshak Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 project. These positions are open only to female candidates who are Natives/Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry and belong to the local community of the respective Anganwadi centre. The recruitment is on an honorarium basis, and selection will be done purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in Class XII.
