It is available to students at various levels, from pre-matriculation to higher education. This helps students continue their studies by reducing the burden of fees and other educational expenses. OASIS Scholarship 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

 Pre-Matric OASIS Scholarship Eligibility:

Students applying for the Pre-Matric OASIS Scholarship must meet the following conditions:

  • The student must belong to the SC (Scheduled Caste) or ST (Scheduled Tribe) category.
  • The student must be studying in Class IX or Class X.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000.
  • The student must be a resident of West Bengal.

Post-Matric OASIS Scholarship Eligibility:

Students applying for the Post-Matric OASIS Scholarship must fulfil these criteria:

  • The student must belong to SC, ST, or OBC category.
  • The student must be studying from Class XI up to Postgraduate level.
  • For SC/ST students, the annual family income should not exceed Rs.2,50,000.
  • For OBC students, the annual family income should not exceed Rs.1,00,000.
  • The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.

OASIS Scholarship 2026 Amount

Pre-Matric Scholarship Amount (Class 9 & 10)

SC / ST Day Scholar:

Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,000/- per year

SC / ST Hosteller:

Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000/- per year

OBC Students:

Around Rs. 4,000/- per year

Post-Matric Scholarship Amount (Class 11 & Above)

SC / ST Day Scholar:

Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 7,000 per year

SC / ST Hosteller:

Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 13,500/- per year

OBC Students (Class 11 to PG):

Up to Rs. 20,000/- per year (depends on course)

OASIS Scholarship Family Income 2026

For the Pre-Matric OASIS scholarship, the student's annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000. For the Post-Matric OASIS scholarship, the annual family income of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students must be Rs. 2,50,000 or less, while for Other Backward Classes (OBC) students, the income limit is Rs. 1,00,000 or less per annum. The income certificate must be issued by a competent authority and submitted during the application process on the OASIS portal.

OASIS Scholarship 2026 Application Process

Eligible students who wish to apply for the OASIS scholarship must apply online through the official OASIS portal. New applicants must register first, while existing students can log in and renew their applications.

Step-by-step Application Process:

  1. Visit the official OASIS Scholarship website: oasis.gov.in.
  2. Click on “Student’s Registration” for new registration.
  3. Select your district and permanent address in West Bengal.
  4. Fill in basic details like name, caste category, mobile number, and email ID.
  5. After registration, note down your User ID and Password carefully.
  6. Log in using the credentials and choose the appropriate scholarship (Pre-Matric or Post-Matric).
  7. Fill in the application form with academic details, family income, bank details, etc.
  8. Upload required documents and submit the application.
  9. Take a printout of the submitted form for future reference.
