The appointment will initially be for one year, which may be extended up to four years depending on factory requirements and the performance of the employee. Ordnance Factory Itarsi has published 265 vacancies for the post of Tenure Based Chemical Process Worker (CPW) under the Skilled category. The category-wise distribution includes 108 posts for UR, 39 for OBC (NCL), 39 for SC, 53 for ST, and 26 for EWS, with horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT/NCVET in AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant) trade. Applicants from feeder trades such as IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic are also eligible.

Priority will be given to AOCP trade apprentices trained in Ordnance Factories, followed by apprentices from government or government-affiliated organizations.

Age Limit:

  • Candidates must be 18 to 40 years as on 27 March 2026 for the General category. 

Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules, including 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and military service plus 3 years for Ex-Servicemen.

Ordnance Factory Itarsi Tenure Based CPW 2026 Salary

Selected candidates will receive a Basic Pay of Rs. 19,900 plus Dearness Allowance (DA) as applicable. They may also receive House Rent Allowance (HRA) if company quarters are not available. Employees will get 3% annual increment on basic pay based on satisfactory performance.
