The primary objective of PMMSY is to enhance fish production and productivity in a sustainable manner, increase the incomes of fish farmers and fishermen, and reduce post-harvest losses-which often occur due to a lack of adequate storage and transportation facilities. Furthermore, it aims to promote modern aquaculture methods such as biofloc and cage culture, improve fish quality for both domestic consumption and export, and strengthen the entire fisheries value chain, from production to marketing. Another key objective is to generate employment opportunities, particularly in rural and coastal areas.

PM Matsya Sampada Yojana 2026 Application Process

Applicants may visit the official website of their respective state's Department of Fisheries or visit the nearest District Fisheries Office. First, the applicant must complete the registration process using a mobile number and basic personal details. Following registration, they must select the specific scheme they wish to apply for and fill out the application form with accurate information. Necessary documents such as an Aadhaar card, bank details, land or lease-related documents, and a passport-sized photograph must be uploaded. After the application form is submitted, it will be verified by the concerned authorities; upon approval, financial assistance or benefits will be disbursed. Applicants may also apply through a 'Common Service Center' (CSC) for a more convenient application process.

WCD Puducherry 618 Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Recruitment 2025

The Department of Women & Child Development, Puducherry has released a notification for the recruitment of 618 posts of Anganwadi Workers (344 posts) and Anganwadi  Helpers  (274 posts) under the Samshak Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 project.
