State Bank of India (SBI) has released the Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2026 notification for filling 2273 officer-level positions in various SBI circles across India. This recruitment is for experienced banking professionals, as candidates are required to have prior officer-level experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks or Regional Rural Banks. Selected candidates will be appointed to the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) position. There will be no opportunity for inter-circle transfers until promotion to the SMGS-IV grade or completion of 12 years of service. SBI Bank Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.
  • Candidates with Professional degrees (Engineering, Medical, CA, CMA, etc.) are also eligible.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years

Born between 01.01.1996 and 31.12.2004.

Age Relaxation:-

  • SC/ ST - 05 years
  • OBC (NCL) - 03 years
  • PwBD - up to 15 years (as per category)
  • Ex-Servicemen - 05 years

Experience (Mandatory):

  • Minimum 2 years experience (post-qualification) as an Officer.

Local Language:

  • Candidate must know the local language of the applied Circle.
  • Language test will be conducted unless studied in 10th/12th.

SBI Recruitment 2026 Pay Scale

The selected candidates under the SBI Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2026 will be appointed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) with a starting basic pay of Rs. 48,480, which includes two advance increments. The applicable pay scale is Rs. 48,480 - 85,920. In addition to basic pay, officers are entitled to various allowances and benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Lease Rental, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund, National Pension System (NPS), Medical Facilities, Leave Fare Concession (LFC) and other perks as per SBI rules.
