  • The Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Karnal has released a recruitment notification for 28 posts of Stenographer Grade-III (English) on a purely adhoc basis.

Karnal District Court Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent from a recognized university and possess proficiency in computer operation (word processing and spreadsheets).

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 42 years

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Haryana Government rules.

Karnal District Court Stenographer 2026 Pay Scale

  • Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 25,500/-, which is the initial pay scale applicable to regular Stenographer Grade-III/ Steno-Typist posts. 

Karnal District Court Stenographer Recruitment 2026 How to Apply 

Interested and eligible candidates must apply offline. The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the official website of the District Courts, Karnal. Applicants should fill in all details carefully and attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, along with a recent passport-size photograph duly attested and affixed on the application form. The completed application must be sent by post to the Office of the District and Sessions Judge, Judicial Courts Complex, Sector-12, Karnal (Haryana) by February 13, 2026.

Karnal District Court Recruitment Selection Process 

The selection process will include the following steps -

  • English Shorthand Test
  • Transcription Test on Computer
  • Computer Proficiency Test 

Candidates must qualify the shorthand test at a speed of 80 words per minute and the transcription test at 20 words per minute. In addition, a computer proficiency test covering word processing and spreadsheets will be conducted, which is qualifying in nature only and will not carry marks for merit.
