Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway has released for engagement of 5,349 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025-26. The vacancies are available in trades like Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Diesel), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Carpenter, Painter, Plumber, Pipe Fitter, Draftsman (Civil), Refrigerator & AC Mechanic, PASSA (COPA), Stenographer, Forger & Heat Treater and Other.
RRC Western Railway Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates Must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board.
- Must possess ITI Certificate in relevant trade affiliated with NCVT.
Age Limit:

RRC Western Railway Apprentice Salary 2026
- Selected candidates will undergo 1-year apprenticeship training. During training, they will receive a stipend as per Railway Board rules and Apprentices Act guidelines. No other allowances will be provided.

RRC Western Railway Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for the recruitment of Apprentices will be based entirely on merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of average marks obtained in 10th (Matriculation) and ITI, both will be given equal weightage. No written test and no interview will be conducted. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification, where original certificates will have to be produced, followed by submission of a medical fitness certificate. Final selection will be subject to successful document verification and medical fitness as per the rules.
