PMSYM Yojana 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM), an individual must be an unorganized sector worker such as a laborer, street vendor, domestic worker, or small shopkeeper and their monthly income must not exceed Rs. 15,000. At the time of registration, the applicant's age must be between 18 and 40 years, and they are required to possess a valid, Aadhaar-linked bank account for the purpose of depositing contributions. Furthermore, it is ensured that the concerned individual is neither an income tax payer nor a member of any formal social security scheme such as EPFO, ESIC, or NPS thereby ensuring that the benefits of this scheme are specifically directed toward the economically vulnerable workers of the unorganized sector.
