Jammu and Kashmir SSB Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board.
Age Limit:
(1) Open Merit (OM), SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS, OBC -
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Born between: 01.01.1997 and 01.01.2007.
(2) In-Service Police Personnel -
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Born between: 01.01.1995 and 01.01.2007.
(3) SPOs & Volunteer Home Guards (VHGs) -
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Born between: 01.01.1985 and 01.01.2007.
JKSSB Constable Recruitment Pay Scale 2025-26
The pay scale for the JKSSB Constable (Executive Police Division) posts is Level-2 of the J&K Pay Matrix, which ranges from Rs. 19,900 to 63,200. This includes the basic pay as per the level, along with other allowances and benefits as applicable under the rules of the J&K Government for government employees.
Jammu and Kashmir SSB Constable 2025 Physical Test Details
(1) Physical Standard Test (PST) -
Candidates will be shortlisted for PST based on written test performance, six times the total vacancies in each category. Shortlisted candidates must meet the following minimum physical standards:
a) Males -
- Height: 5’6” (minimum)
- Chest: 32” (unexpanded)
- Chest: 33½” (expanded)
b) Females -
- Height: 5’2” (minimum).
Relaxation in Height:
- Gorkha Community: Height can be 2” less
- Bot Tribe: Height can be 2” less
(2) Physical Endurance Test (PET)
Candidates who meet PST standards must appear for PET.
i) Male Candidates
- Long Race: 1600 meters in 6½ minutes
- Push-ups: 20 (one complete up-down = 1)
ii) Female Candidates
- Long Race: 1000 meters in 6½ minutes
- Shot Put (4 kg): 14½ feet in three attempts
