State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has released an official notification dated 12 December 2025 for the recruitment of 102 posts including Sub Inspector (UB) in Assam Police, Sub Inspector (Communication) in APRO, Station Officer and Squad Commander in Fire & Emergency Services, and Assistant Jailor in the Prison Department. Eligible Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam can apply online from 16th December 2025 to 16th January 2026 through the SLPRB website. SLPRB Assam Police Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification:

(1) Sub Inspector (UB) & Assistant Jailor -

  • Candidates must be a graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

(2) Station Officer & Squad Commander -

  • B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

(3) Sub Inspector (Communication) - 

  • B.Sc./Diploma (Electronics/IT/CS or allied) with prescribed experience, or MCA, or B.E./B.Tech (relevant branches).

Age Limit:

  • SI (UB) & SI (Communication): 20-26 years
  • Station Officer & Squad Commander: 20-24 years
  • Assistant Jailor: 21-40 years

Age Relaxation:-

  • SC, ST (P) and ST (H) Category: 5 years
  • OBC/MOBC Category: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (Only for Assistant Jailor) Category: 2 years

SLPRB Assam Notification 2025 Pay Scale

The selected candidates for Sub Inspector (UB), Sub Inspector (Communication), Station Officer, Squad Commander, and Assistant Jailor will be appointed in Pay Band–2 with a pay scale of Rs. 14,000 to 70,000, along with a Grade Pay of Rs.8,700. I In addition to the basic pay and grade pay, candidates will also receive other allowances as applicable according to the rules of the Government of Assam.

Assam Police Physical Standards 2025

For SI(UB), SI(Comm), Station Officer, Squad Commander:

  • Height (Male): Gen/OBC/SC - 162.5 cm, ST - 160 cm.
  • Height (Female): Gen/OBC/SC - 154 cm, ST - 152 cm.
  • Chest (Male only): Gen/OBC/SC/ST(P) - Min 80 cm (5 cm expansion), ST(H) - Min 78 cm (5 cm).

For Assistant Jailor:

  • Height (Male): Gen/OBC/SC - 162.5 cm, ST - 160 cm.
  • Height (Female): Gen/OBC/SC - 144.5 cm, ST - 142 cm.
  • Chest (Male only): Not less than 81 cm (unexpanded).

Assam Police Recruitment 2025 How to Apply

Candidates have to apply online only through the official website of the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam. Applicants must first complete a one-time registration using a valid mobile number and generate a single Application ID, which will be used for all advertisements. After logging in with the Application ID and date of birth, candidates need to select the relevant advertisement and post preference, fill in personal and educational details exactly as per the HSLC certificate, and upload the required documents such as photograph, signature, age proof, educational certificates, Employment Exchange registration card, Aadhaar card, and caste certificate (if applicable). After successful submission, candidates should download and keep the acknowledgement slip for future reference.
