Grameen Bhandaran Yojana 2026; Check Application Process

The Grameen Bhandaran Yojana (GBY) is a government scheme introduced by the Government of India, aimed at assisting farmers in rural areas by facilitating the development of scientific storage or warehousing facilities. The primary objective of this scheme is to minimize post-harvest losses, enable farmers to safely store their produce, and help them avoid situations of distress selling the forced sale of crops at low prices immediately after the harvest. This scheme encourages the construction of modern warehouses and storage facilities in villages, thereby providing farmers with the opportunity to store their produce and subsequently sell it at relatively better prices. Furthermore, it contributes to the establishment of a well-organized agricultural marketing system across rural India.
