Goa Staff Selection Commission (Goa SSC) is inviting applications for 722 various Group 'C' posts in different Government of Goa departments. The recruitment includes posts such as Range Forest Officer, Platoon Commander, Round Forester, Police Constable (Male/Female), Police Constable (Armed Police), Police Constable Driver, Forest Guard, Warden, Matron, Assistant Superintendent, Lascar, Escort and others. Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th Pay Commission pay levels along with allowances as per Government rules. Goa SSC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  1. Range Forest Officer - Bachelor's Degree in Science with subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry or Agriculture.
  2. Platoon Commander - Higher Secondary (12th pass).
  3. Round Forester / Forest Guard - 12th pass / SSC (as per post).
  4. Police Constable / Armed Police - Secondary School Certificate (10th pass).
  5. Police Constable Driver - 10th pass + Valid Heavy/Light Vehicle Driving License + 2 years experience.
  6. Constable (Greaser/Electrician) - 10th pass + ITI in related trade + experience.
  7. Warden / Matron / Assistant Superintendent / Lascar / Escort - 10th pass (with required physical standards).

Age Limit:

Maximum Age:

  • 45 years (Range Forest Officer, Platoon Commander, Assistant Superintendent, etc.)
  • 35 years (Round Forester, Forest Guard)
  • 30 years (Warden, Matron, Constable posts)
  • 28 years (Police Constable)
  • 25 years (Police Constable Driver)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST - 5 years
  • OBC - 3 years
  • PwD - 10 years

Additional relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, Home Guards, Ex-Agniveers as per rules.

Salary is as per 7th Pay Commission (CCS Revised Pay Rules, 2016):

  • Round Forester: Level 3
  • Police Constable, Driver, Forest Guard, etc.: Level 2
  • Warden, Matron, Lascar, Escort: Level 1
