AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 Short Notification Out for 100 Vacancies

Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) invites online applications from physically fit and mentally strong Indian citizens (both male and female) for the post of 100 Medical Officer under Short Service Commission, 2026. The selected candidates will serve as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The selection will be done through an interview process in Delhi in March 2026. AFMS SSC Medical Officer Vacancy 2026

The Armed Forces Medical Services has published a total of 100 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer under Short Service Commission (SSC) 2026. Out of these, 75 vacancies are reserved for male candidates and 25 vacancies are reserved for female candidates.

Armed Forces Medical Services Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university. 

Age Limit:

  • For MBBS degree holders: Candidate must not have attained 30 years as on 31 December 2026 (Only those born on or after 02 January 1997 are eligible).
  • For PG degree holders: Candidate must not have attained 35 years as on 31 December 2026 (Only those born on or after 02 January 1992 are eligible).

AFMS SSC Medical Officer 2026 Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be commissioned as Medical Officers in AFMS and will receive salary and allowances as per the rules of the Armed Forces. The pay scale will be according to the Short Service Commission Officer rank, along with military allowances.

AFMS Medical Officer How to Apply 2026

Eligible and willing candidates have to submit their applications online through the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) official website www.join.afms.gov.in. The online registration process will start on 21st February 2026 and will end on 4th March 2026.
