Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 225 Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II positions for the year 2026. This recruitment is being conducted through the Pratibha Setu portal based on the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) 2024, administered by the UPSC. Only those candidates whose names appear in the CMSE-2024 Pratibha Setu list are eligible to apply. The vacancies will be filled in ESIC hospitals and dispensaries across India. Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 225 Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II positions for the year 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for ESIC IMO Recruitment

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess a recognized MBBS degree included in the First Schedule, Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (now under National Medical Commission). The candidate must have completed the compulsory rotating internship. However, those candidates who have not yet completed their internship can also apply, provided they successfully complete the internship before the date of appointment.

UPSC Requirement:

Candidate’s name must appear in CMSE-2024 (UPSC) Pratibha Setu Portal list.

Age Limit:

Maximum Age: 35 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen and other categories of persons as per the rules/guidelines of the Government of India.

Pay Scale for ESIC Insurance Medical Officer Recruitment

Candidates selected for the post of Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II in ESIC will be appointed in Pay Level-10 of the Pay Matrix with a salary of Rs. 56,100 to 1,77,500 per month. In addition to the basic pay, they will also receive Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Transport Allowance as per Government of India rules.

Application Process for ESIC Recruitment 2026

Eligible candidates must apply for the ESIC Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II Recruitment 2026 in offline mode only. The duly filled and signed application form along with self-attested copies of all required documents should be sent by Speed Post to the Joint Director (Recruitment), ESI Corporation, Panchdeep Bhawan, CIG Marg, New Delhi - 110002. Applications sent by email or received after the last date will not be accepted.

Selection Process for ESIC IMO Recruitment 2026

The selection will be based entirely on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) 2024. ESIC will prepare a merit list using the CMSE-2024 scores of eligible candidates whose names are registered on the ESIC Pratibha Setu portal. No separate written examination or interview will be conducted by ESIC. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and a physical examination before final appointment.
