The recruitment is aimed at providing skill-based apprenticeship training to ITI-qualified candidates in various trades such as COPA, Welder, Fitter, and Electrician. A total of 100 Trade Apprentice vacancies are available in the following trades:

  • COPA (Computer Operator & Programming Assistant) - 40 Posts
  • Welder - 20 Posts

NSL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

(1) COPA 

  • Qualification: (COPA) Trade Certificate, 1 year regular course.

(2) Welder

  • Qualification: Welder - Trade Certificate, 1 year regular course.

(3) Mechanical 

  • Qualification: Fitter - Trade Certificate. 2 year regular course

(4) Electrical 

  • Qualification: Electrician Trade Certificate. 2 year regular course

NMDC Steel Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 How to Apply

Interested candidates must first register on the Apprenticeship India portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before attending the walk-in drive. Candidates must reach the venue by 9:00 AM on the scheduled date with a filled resume and self-attested copies of documents including date of birth proof, address proof, caste certificate, and ITI certificates.

NMDC Steel Limited Selection Process 2026

Selection will be done through a screening / trade test. For the COPA trade, candidates must also appear for a typing test. Shortlisted candidates must clear a medical fitness test before joining. Reservation for SC, ST, and OBC candidates will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
