Essential Qualification:
- Candidates must have Matriculation (10th Pass) plus NTC/NAC issued by NCVT in the specific relevant trade.
- Engineering Degree/Diploma holders without NTC/NAC are not eligible.
For Ex-Servicemen:
- Technicians with upgrading qualifications of Class III equivalent to NAC.(With appropriate endorsement of equivalence of civic qualifications on their certificates).
OR - Technicians with upgrading qualifications of Class II & Class I equivalent to NTC (with appropriate endorsement of civil qualification equivalence in their certificates)
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 32 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: UR 10 years, OBC 13 years, SC/ST 15 years
- Ex-servicemen: Military Service + 3 years
- Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories: Age relaxation equal to apprenticeship duration

Selection will be based on percentage of marks scored in the final NTC/NAC exam. Candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:1.25 for a Trade Test (Practical), which will be qualifying only. Final merit list will depend only on NTC/NAC marks.
