Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a notification for a total of 600 vacancies for the post of Accounts Assistant (Finance Department). The list by category is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Accounts Assistant Notification 2025

Essential Qualification: 

Candidate must have Graduation in any stream from a recognized university with minimum of 50% marks in Open Merit category and 45% marks in Reserved categories. Additionally, candidates who have completed a Post-Graduation degree with 50% marks or those who hold a PhD degree are also considered eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit:

  • For OM: Maximum age limit is 40 years, i.e. candidate must be born between 01.01.1985 and 01.01.2007.
  • For reserved categories such as SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS, and OBC: The maximum age limit is 43 years, so applicants must be born between 01.01.1982 and 01.01.2007. 
  • For Physically Challenged Person: Eligible up to 42 years of age and must have been born between 01.01.1983 and 01.01.2007.
  • For Ex-Servicemen: The upper age limit is 48 years, date of birth should be between 01.01.1977 and 01.01.2007.

  • The post of Accounts Assistant carries a pay level of Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 - 92,300) as per the Pay Matrix.

Application Fee for JKSSB Accounts Assistant Recruitment

The application fee for this recruitment is Rs. 600 for general candidates. Candidates belonging to SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, and PwBD categories need to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 500. The fee can be paid only online using Net Banking, Credit, or Debit Cards. The fee once paid is non-refundable.

After the written test, shortlisted candidates will have to appear for document verification along with all the original certificates.
