Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released a notification for the engagement of 88 Apprentices at Bongaigaon Refinery under the Apprentices Act. The recruitment includes Trade and Technician Apprentice posts in Chemical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation disciplines. Candidates with B.Sc. or Diploma qualifications and minimum required marks can apply. The age limit is 18 to 24 years with relaxation for reserved categories. Educational Qualification:

(1) Trade Apprentice - Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant)

  • Years B.Sc. with Physics, Maths, Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry.

(2) Trade Apprentice - Boiler (Mechanical)

  • Years B.Sc. with Physics, Maths, Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry.

(3) Technician - Chemical

  • Years Diploma in Chemical / Petrochemical / Chemical Technology / Refinery Engg.

(4) Technician - Mechanical

  • Years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

(5) Technician - Instrumentation

  • 3 Years Diploma in Instrumentation Engg/ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg, / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years

Age Relaxation:

  • According to government guidelines, the upper age limit will be relaxed for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer)/Persons with Disabilities candidates.

IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 How to Apply

Candidates must first register themselves on the appropriate apprenticeship portal based on their trade: for Trade Apprentice posts (Codes 101 & 103) register on the NAPS portal, and for Technician Apprentice posts (Codes 104, 105 & 107) register on the NATS portal. After registration, candidates need to log in and apply for the IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery apprenticeship opportunity through the portal. Once this is completed, they must also fill and submit the additional Microsoft online form available on the IOCL official website. Both steps are compulsory for successful application. Applicants should use a valid email ID and mobile number and apply for only one trade before the last date.

Indian Oil Recruitment Selection Process 

The selection process will be entirely merit-based and will not include any written examination. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their prescribed educational qualification, which will be calculated based on the total marks of all semesters/years. A merit list will be prepared in ascending order based on the marks obtained. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for document verification, and they must pass a pre-employment Medical Fitness before final appointment.

The Department of Women & Child Development, Puducherry has released a notification for the recruitment of 618 posts of Anganwadi Workers (344 posts) and Anganwadi  Helpers  (274 posts) under the Samshak Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 project.
