Jammu & Kashmir PSC MO Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: 

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree or a recognized graduate medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (excluding licentiate qualifications). Applicants holding qualifications under Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill the conditions prescribed under Section 13(3) of the Act. Completion of internship and valid medical registration is mandatory. 

Age Limit:

  • Open Merit (OM) Category: 40 years (Born between 01.01.1985 and 01.01.2007)
  • PHC Category: 42 years (Born between 01.01.1983 and 01.01.2007)

  • In-service Government Candidates: 40 years  (Born between 01.01.2007 and 01.01.1985)

JKPSC Medical Officer 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for the JKPSC Medical Officer (Allopathic) recruitment 2026 will be conducted solely through a written examination administered by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. The examination will consist of multiple-choice questions, with 100 questions to be answered within 2 hours (120 minutes). The standard of the question paper will be similar to that of NEET-PG. There will be negative marking in the examination; 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
