Educational Qualification: 

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree or a recognized graduate medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (excluding licentiate qualifications). Applicants holding qualifications under Part-II of the Third Schedule must fulfill the conditions prescribed under Section 13(3) of the Act. Completion of internship and valid medical registration is mandatory.

JKPSC Medical Officer 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for the JKPSC Medical Officer (Allopathic) recruitment 2026 will be conducted solely through a written examination administered by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. The examination will consist of multiple-choice questions, with 100 questions to be answered within 2 hours (120 minutes). The standard of the question paper will be similar to that of NEET-PG. There will be negative marking in the examination; 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
