CSIR CMERI Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have 10th / SSC with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) and one of the following:
- ITI / Trade Certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institute.
OR
2 years full-time Apprenticeship Training in the relevant trade.
OR - 3 years work experience in the relevant trade in Govt./PSU/Autonomous Body.
Age Limit (as on 21.01.2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: Up to 10-15 years (category wise)
- Widows/ Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. rules
CSIR CMERI Technician Recruitment Pay Scale
The Technician-I (Group II-1) posts at CSIR-CMERI are subject to Pay Level-2 of the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, with a pay scale ranging from Rs. 19,900 to 63,200. The approximate total monthly emoluments at the minimum level of the scale, including basic pay, dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), transport allowance (TA), and other admissible allowances.
