Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) is inviting applications for the 97 posts of Assistant Professor in Clinical, Non-Clinical and Super Specialty departments under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Andhra Pradesh through Lateral Entry. This recruitment is meant only for in-service doctors working as Civil Assistant Surgeons or Assistant Professors under the Andhra Pradesh Government. Eligibility Criteria for APMSRB Assistant Professor 2026

Qualification: 

(1) Assistant Professor (Clinical & Non-Clinical):

  • PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.

(2) Assistant Professor (Super Specialty):

  • PG Degree (DNB/DrNB/DM/MCh) in the concerned super specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.

APMSRB Recruitment Selection Process

The selection for APMSRB Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 will be done purely on merit basis without any written exam or interview. The merit list will be prepared based on the rank obtained at the time of appointment as Civil Assistant Surgeon or Assistant Professor, and final selection will be made by following the reservation rules applicable to promotions as per government norms.
