WBFSL Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

West Bengal Forensic Science Laboratory (WBFSL) has published a notification for recruitment of a total of 81 vacancies under Contractual Recruitment 2025. Out of these, 9 are for Scientific Officer, 36 for Scientific Assistant and 36 for Driver. Selected candidates will be posted in various District Mobile Forensic Units (MFU) across West Bengal, including Kolkata, Jalpaiguri, Malda, Murshidabad, Durgapur, Howrah, Hooghly, Darjeeling, Bankura, Purulia, North and South 24 Parganas, Medinipur and other districts.

WBFSL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2025

(1) Scientific Officer

Qualification:

  • First Class Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized university.
  • Must be FACT (Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test) qualified.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age: 40 years.

(2) Scientific Assistant

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Forensic Science.
  • Must be FACT qualified.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age: 40 years.

(3) Driver

Qualification:

  • Class VIII pass from a recognized school.
  • Valid LMV Driving License with at least 2 years validity as on 01.01.2025.
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience in Govt./Quasi-Govt./Registered Pvt. Ltd.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age: 40 years.

West Bengal FSL Recruitment Pay Scale 

  • Scientific Officer - Rs. 35,800/- per month
  • Scientific Assistant - Rs. 28,900/- per month
  • Driver - Rs. 16,000/- per month

WBFSL Recruitment 2025 How to Apply

Candidates have to apply offline for West Bengal Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) Contractual Recruitment 2025, using the prescribed application form format available on the official website www.wbfsl.gov.in. The application form should be filled in the candidate’s own handwriting and supported with self-attested copies of relevant documents, including educational qualifications, experience certificates, age proof, and category certificate (if applicable). The duly filled application must be placed in an envelope clearly superscribed with the name of the post applied for and sent by post or dropped in the designated box at the Office of the Administrator, State Forensic Science Laboratory, 37/1/2, Belgachia Road, Kolkata - 700037. Applications must reach the office on or before 30th December 2025 by 6:00 PM.
